Not-So-Wordless Wednesday

We interrupt this regularly scheduled blog post to bring you important news about Zuri's fun-filled day!!  Wordless Wednesday will resume next week.

Zuri woke up early today for some reason --- probably so she could see daddy before he went to work.  We had plans for a play date with Alex and his mommy, Lindsay, at 9am (or maybe this is why she was up early --- excited for her date!).  About 8am, Zuri started acting tired.  We left early so she could take a quick nap on the way there.

zzzzzzzzzzzz
Zuri and Alex had a great time playing this morning and Lindsay and I had a great time having adult conversation!! Zuri was a bit of a drama queen at times though!  She would be in one swing and when Alex would get in the other one, she would immediately want in that one.  She's in the "mine, mine, mine" stage (Lord help us!).  Here are some pictures from their date.
"We're supposed to slide down, Zuri."

"See, wasn't that fun?!"
These next 2 pictures are so cute!  Both Alex and Zuri were leaning forward in the swings instead of sitting back.  I love Zuri's expression!  HA!

They loved the teeter totter.  It was cute watching them try to get it going.  Lindsay was kind enough to get on the other end and help them out.
Weeeeeeeeeee!!!

Much better!!
We were finally able to talk them into sitting in the shade for a brief moment.  These are a couple of my favs from today!
"What are those kids doing?"

So cute!!

Alex had mastered this by the time we left.  Zuri, not so much --- but close!
After our play date, we went home for a few minutes before meeting up with Tony, Anthony, and Breeanna at Culvers.  Zuri was pretty tired and by the time we left, she was getting pretty fussy!!  Anthony took this picture for me since Zuri wouldn't look at me.

I knew Zuri would pass out on our way home.  Sure enough she did and she slept for an hour and a half (unheard of for her)!!
zzzzzzzzzzzz
After her nap, we watched................................ELMO!!!!!!!  What else would we watch; there's nothing else on TV, right?!  I snapped this cute picture of Zuri laying on the ground watching TV.  :)
