Only Child Status Expiring Tomorrow!

Zuri has been so excited about William's arrival!!  She has been counting down the days. This morning, she ran in and said, "1 more day!!"  :o)

Here's what her last weekend as an only child consisted of.

Donuts with Mommy Saturday morning.
Followed by shopping at Target. Zuri has been all about gymnastics lately so I let her pick out a gymnastics outfit.
Before meeting family for lunch, we had to show off our maternity pants. Ha!  Zuri's are yoga pants that fold down. Zuri pulls them up and says they are her maternity pants. Ignore the middle finger.  Oh, and could my belly be anymore out there?!  ;o)
Zuri and Emerson wrestling Papaw John.
After lunch, we came home and watched Fuller House on Netflix.
Zuri posing....
We went down to Gary's and rode the 4 wheeler. Zuri had a blast!  Papaw has a remote to turn the 4 wheeler off of needed. :o)
So sweet!
Zuri really wants to take Skittles home.

We didn't do a whole lot today. Zuri continued her gymnastics routine....pretty much all day. :o)
Her bags to take to Julie's...

We did go out for dinner and then to Eric's and Karen's. When we got home, my Dr. called to say my c-section was bumped up to 8am!  It was originally noon. We have to be there at 6am. We can't wait!!!

Pregnancy Hormones...

Zuri was going to spend the night with Aunt Julie so I could go see my cousin's band tonight BUT she decided she didn't want to. I picked her up and she knew I was upset (darn pregnancy hormones). I knew she was being clingy because William arrives Monday. It didn't matter, I was already in a pregnancy induced mood!  We got home and Zuri went into her room. She came back with a couple pictures to cheer me up. This one is our entire family at her birthday party, including William.  She even put party hats on her and Daddy and also drew balloons.  This made me start crying and Zuri asked why. How do you explain irrational pregnancy hormones to your 5 year old?!

I know this is rough on Zuri even though she is super excited about William's arrival.  I have to try to keep the hormones under control this weekend and reflect on times like this...

Today was a Mommy/Daughter Day. I wanted to have a special day with Zuri before William arrives on Monday. We had 9 stops.

Back home for a bit.  Mommy rested and Zuri practiced her gymnastics. :o)

Now we are watching a show before bed!  It's been a long day, but a good one!

Home Alone And Getting Ready For William

When Daddy and Zuri got home, I was watching Home Alone. Zuri was very into the show. She wondered why his family would leave him at home and go on vacation without him. She then loved the traps for the "cat burglars."  Here she is watching all the traps!

During dinner, she asked us for more ketchup.  Before we could get up, she got up and got the ketchup, put it on her plate, and back in the fridge. I told her she was ready to be home alone like the kid in the movie. She said, "What if I want a pizza?  I can't cook a pizza!"  After a few minutes, she decided she was old enough to be home alone. I asked what she would do if burglars came like in the movie. She said she has enough toys that she'd just throw them all on the floor. Ha!!

Sooooooo, one week from today, William will be here!

Tonight, we put the car seat in Mommy's car (we will install Daddy's tomorrow). Zuri sat in her seat afterwards so she could see how it'd be once William is here.

We then rearranged a few things in William's room. While doing that, Zuri found his St. Patrick's Day bib and decided she was hungry and needed a bib. :o)

She's ready to be a big sister!

Growing Up

We noticed today that Zuri's bottom front teeth seemed to have formed a gap. I thought that was odd so I looked closer. Her left bottom front tooth is loose!  How did that happen?!  She's not 5 yet (okay, 2 weeks from tomorrow she will be 5).  She is all excited about the Tooth Fairy and wants to pull the tooth right now. Ha!!  She's playing with it non stop.
Don't mind the crazy look. :o)

Papaw John decided he couldn't wait any longer to give Zuri her birthday gift. She opened it tonight. She thought it was an iPhone at first. It's an iPad mini.  Yes, she is spoiled!

Valentine's Day

Before I talk about today's activities, I have to show off Zuri's art from her Artsy Fartsy Club at school. So cute!!

Zuri and Brent made me breakfast in bed for Valentine's Day!  Zuri was so sweet when she delivered it all to me.
Snuggles before getting ready for the day.
I had some stuff to take care of for a few hours and when I was done, I gave Zuri a cake pop as a Valentine's surprise. :o)

We ended the day with dinner at Kabuto's. Zuri loves that place!

Fancy umbrella for her drink. :o)
Rocking the chopsticks. Ha!

Chuck E Cheese

Zuri and I went to Chuck E Cheese with Papaw John, Grandma Andrea, Mason, and Gannon yesterday. We had fun and I was exhausted afterwards!

This is Zuri's favorite game!
She also loves this water gun game. She beat Papaw 3 or 4 times!
Victory dance!
Mason!
Papaw and Mason playing air hockey.
Bike rally. :o)
Selfie break.
Zuri, Mason, and Gannon waiting on our food.
Zuri loves this card machine too. Check out her pose. I love it!
