First Ocean Videos

Zuri absolutely LOVED the beach and ocean. The tide was too strong so we didn't swim. The first video shows the tide pushing Zuri down. She was fine and I forgot I was recording. Watch to the end!!  Another time (not on video), the tide actually knocked her down and she rolled over!  There's still sand in her hair after two baths!  :) We are heading to Disney today. :)

Sunday Funday!!

Zuri's cousin, Ayla, spent the night last night.  This morning, we had donuts and played.  Then we went to see baby Zayne.  The girls enjoyed getting to hold him!  He's precious.  After our visit with Zayne, we went to lunch with Julie and LB and then to the park.  Very busy day!!!

Zuri was super excited to get to hold him for the first time.  When we first visited, he was only a couple days old so we didn't let Zuri hold him.

Shay's 1st Birthday Party!!

After our trip to The Children's Museum, we went to Shay's 1st Birthday party.  It was a great time!  Zuri enjoyed jumping on the trampoline, swinging, and especially the hay rides!!

Shay's Memaw painted this!  How awesome is it?!  Zuri said, "Mommy, I'm a corn on the cob.  Do you want to eat me?"  HA!

The hayride was a hit for sure!



The kids each got to pick a pumpkin to take home.  The Three Musketeers decided to be silly!!

New Friends and The Children's Museum

On Saturday, we had lunch and went to the Children's Museum with Daddy's friend, Ben, and his family.  We had a lot of fun hanging out with Ben, Beth (his wife), and Zoe (their daughter).  Zoe is only a year older than Zuri so they had a lot of fun!  We cooked out here at home, played for a bit, and then hit the road to the Children's Museum.  The girls had a ton of fun learning about dinosaurs, China, and playing!  We had to leave early because of Shay's 1st birthday party (see separate post), but I'm sure we'll be going back because there's so much more to see.

We leave in 1 week for Disney and we found out that Ben, Beth, and Zoe live only about 30 minutes from where we are staying Sunday night/Monday.  We hope to meet up with them and go to dinner and the beach!

Frogs, Chickens, and Monkeys....Oh My!!

Saturday morning, Daddy found a frog in our crawl space. Zuri wanted to keep him/her and named her Sofia. We took her to Zuri's castle where Zuri showed off her strength. 

Papaw had an aquarium so Sofia now has an actual home. 

Saturday was the ERMCO family picnic. Zuri had a blast. She rode a pony, jumped in bounce houses, swung, got her face painted, and held a chicken!!

After the picnic, we went to Monkey Joe's for Jocelynn's (Zuri's friend from school) birthday party.  More jumping and running around!

Today, we went to visit Scotty and Ayla. Scotty wasn't home, but Ayla and her friend were.  Aren't they cute?!

After visiting Ayla, we went to a girls only lunch.  :) We were joined by Brandii, Grandma Newbold, Lisa, Julie, Junie, Christine, and JoAnne.  We had fun!

Zuri enjoyed pushing JoAnne in her wheelchair.  ;o)

Zuri zonked before making it home. Once we got home, we both took a long nap (3.5 hours!!!). 

After our long nap, we had breakfast for dinner. Ha!

We also went to see JoAnne to help her with her Kindle.  Zuri was very interested in JoAnne's liquid water flavors.  Here's a picture from the visit. :)

Hodgepodge Post.....

Friday night, Brandii and Jeremy came over so I could take their gender reveal photos. While we were testing poses, lighting, etc., Zuri did this. Brandii said she has my OCD. ;o)

So, will I have a nephew or a niece....??  

Saturday morning, we went to Jack's soccer game. Zuri and Claire ran around like maniacs!  This was too cute though!

After the game, we went to the hospital to meet our newest cousin, Zayne. He's adorable!!

Zuri wanted a pair of gloves and wore them all the way out to the car.  She did have her Doc McStuffins shirt on....

Then we had lunch at Chili's with Julie, LB, and Papaw John.

I tried to get a good picture of Zuri and LB.....tried being the key word. 

They hugged and Zuri picked LB up and carried him a couple feet. He's 2 months older than her!

Today, Grandpa and Grandma Schulz came by for lunch. Grandma made Zuri two dresses for our vacation (see earlier post). After they left, we napped and then went to dinner. Zuri was being a pirate. 

At Target, she wanted to carry her own basket of stuff. She also tried to fill it with lots of things!

We leave 3 weeks from today for Disney!!!!  Can't wait!!  We are going to also take Zuri to the beach. She will LOVE it!
