Muffins, Lobsters, Swingsets, Oh My.....

When I dropped Zuri off at school Friday, they had Muffins for Mommies and a special gift the kiddos made each of us.  It was very sweet!

Here's a picture of the table.
Zuri with the flowers she made me.  I didn't realize it until Ms. Sherri pointed it out, but the flowers are cutouts of Zuri's hands.  How cool is that?!
Here I am with my Princess.
Friday night, my sister and I took our mom out for Mother's Day.  She loves Red Lobster, so that's where we went.  Zuri loves to check out the lobsters.  Before we left, we asked someone to get one out for her.  Here's a picture of Zuri just before the "attack".  Don't worry, the lobster was unharmed.  ;o)  Okay, seriously, Zuri pulled on the lobster's claw and it freaked out which freaked Zuri out a little bit.  She may be over her lobster obsession.
Zuri has never really been too sure of cousin Kyle.  Even before he grew the crazy long beard.  After being around him long enough though, she will at least give him a high five (or high ten in this case).
Saturday, we had dinner with Brent's brother and mom.  We went to Jon and Amanda's.  After dinner, the kids went outside to play.  Eli (a neighbor) decided to take the girls for a ride.
When the battery ran out, Eli was done.  Zuri took this as her chance to drive.  She didn't get far, obviously, with the battery dead.
Okay, so today was a BIG day!!!  We finally got the swing set completed!!!  We bought it on March 10th; you do the math.  Anyway, I know it is built to last.  Zuri tested out her bench area.  She approves.
Here's the finished product.  Isn't it pretty awesome?!
Zuri loves it.  She has already become a pro at going up the ladder (rungs are spaced sort of far apart) and down the slide.  She loves her door that she can open and close and the chalk board.  Basically, she loves it all!  When my dad and Brent were done, I told Zuri to tell them thank you.  She did and she actually ran up to Papaw and hugged his leg and said thank you.  :o)  There were several times during construction today that Zuri told Papaw to "move it" or "get out of my way" so a hug was definitely called for!!  Thanks Papaw John for all your help!!!

Oh, you must have thought I was talking about Mother's Day when I said today was a BIG day?!  You're right, today is Mother's Day.  I hope all the moms and moms-to-be had a great day.
