15 Months

I don't know what made Zuri get up early today, but she did.  She was up about 5:45am.  She did not want to let Daddy get ready.  Mommy was, once again, chopped liver!

Daddy....

Daddy!...

DADDY!!!!!!!!!!!

Where did Daddy go???
Zuri's 15 month check-up was today.  She is 90th percentile for weight and height and 99th percentile for head circumference.  The doctor asked what words she was saying.  We started rattling off what she says (see below) and the doctor said we did not need to worry one bit out her development.  She expects 1 or 2 words at 15 months.  At 18 months, she expects about 20.  Zuri's already saying around 30 words!  The doctor also said we could start working on potty training since Zuri seems interested in it.  :)  Oh, and she did great with the vaccine.  She didn't even flinch!!
Hi Dr. McIntire
After her doctor visit, we went to dinner at Jockamo.

Someone was thirsty.
After dinner, we went to Toys R Us and then came home and played in the sprinkler!
That was fun!!

Again, again!

I love it!

More

Okay, let's look at the roses.

Zuri turned 15 months on June 7th.  She continues to amaze us on a daily basis.  She says so many words and does so many things --- it's unbelievable.  She loves the Phineas and Ferb theme song.  When it comes on, she starts dancing.  At the end of the theme song, the sister yells, "Mom, Phineas and Ferb are making a title sequence!"  The other day, we had the show on and just before the sister yelled that, Zuri yelled, "Mom!"  It was the cutest thing ever!

Zuri is climbing on everything.  She actually does really well with getting down off the couch, off the chairs, and off our bed.  Zuri likes to try and figure things out.  Once we take her out of her high chair, she walks right up to it and starts trying to put the straps together.  Lord help us!

Oh, her favorite thing to do right now is to wave her index finger and say "No, no, no!"  Daddy taught her that.  Thanks Daddy!

I could go on and on and on about all the things Zuri does, but I'll just end with the words she says right now!  :)

Dear Zuri Lane,

I don't know what else I can say that I haven't already.  So, I'll just say - We love you and we can't wait to see what new and exciting things you will accomplish over the next few months.

Love,
Mommy and Daddy

Zuri Needs More Clothes

Sorry for the delay in posting, Zuri and I have both been sick.  As Brent pointed out, Zuri does sick a lot better than I do.  We took Z to the doctor Monday and found out she had an ear infection.  She started antibiotics Monday.  I gave in and went to the doctor Friday --- I have a double ear infection, sinus infection, and strep.  I'm now on antibiotics too.  A friend asked what my deal was.  My reply, "Go big or go home."!

Enough about the sickness in our house, here's what you all really want to read about!!

Our community garage sale was this weekend so I decided I would join and try to keep our attic floor from collapsing sell Zuri's old clothes, toys, etc.  This girl has WAY TOO MANY clothes!!!  I can't believe how much stuff she accumulated during her first year.  It's absolutely ridiculous!!!  Here are some pictures from Saturday.
Have you ever owned this many clothes in your life?  I'm pretty sure I haven't!  And, this was before I did another cleansing of her wardrobe Saturday morning!!!

Mommy, are you sure I can't keep this.  I forgot how comfy it is.

Maybe if I sit in it no one will buy it.

Mommy, I don't particularly want to get rid of this either.

Papaw, Mommy is selling ALL.OF.MY.STUFF.  Tell her to stop!
Special thanks to Aunt Julie, Aunt Brandii, and Aunt Junie for helping me with the sale!!

After the garage sale (and after napping - Z and me), Jenn and Brendan came over for dinner and cards.  BTW --- The girls won the euchre series 3-2.
This little piggy....

Today, we did some shopping and hung out with Papaw/Mamaw Cox and Papaw/Mamaw Schulz.  At the store, Zuri did not want to sit in the cart (surprise, surprise) so I let her walk with me.  After a few minutes, she decided that she would rather push the cart.  I let her push the cart and the entire time, she was saying "beep, beep"!!  Cutest thing ever!!

Here, I'll push the cart for you guys.
After the store and a nap, it was lunch time.  Zuri was double-fisted.
Water or milk?  Why choose?

In this picture, Zuri was trying to look away from Daddy when he was tickling her!
Papaw and Mamaw Cox came over to watch Zuri while we went to Sam's Club.  While we were gone, Papaw and Mamaw Schulz arrived to hang out and take us to dinner.  I'm pretty sure Zuri was confused by it (having 2 sets of grandparents over), but loved it nonetheless!  We went to McAllister's for dinner (where Zuri devoured her mac-n-cheese).

Zuri coming back to Mommy and Daddy!
Oh, I almost forgot.  When we got back from Sam's Club, Zuri started saying "daddy, daddy, daddy" from the living room.  She was in the kitchen when we started bringing stuff in.  She saw Brent and said "daddy!!!!".  After he walked in, she started to shut the door on me!!  Geez, I only carried you for 9 months and have a 6 inch scar from your birth!!  I love you anyway.  ;o)

Play Date

Zuri had a play date today with her cousins, Jack and Claire.  Zuri should be used to sharing since she goes to daycare, but she was not a fan of Claire sitting in her chair or on my lap!!  Other than that, she was good.  :)

Here are some pictures.
Yes, what do you want?

Tech nerds?  ;o)

Wait, she's playing with ALL of my stuff.....???

Okay, we can share.

Hello Blue Eyes!

Cheese!

Claire and Z playing

Beep beep!

Jack wanted in on the car action.

Daddy held Claire so Zuri had to practically jump from my arms to his!

Jack and Claire ---- we need more play dates!!!  Zuri had fun.

A New Friend...

We went to Bree's softball game on Saturday.  As soon as we walked up to the field, Sydney (Bree's sister) ran up and said "Zuri!"  Syd has never met Zuri before, but Bree talks about her all the time.  She loves Zuri.  It was soooooo cute!!

I love this picture!

Daddy and Z hanging out.

Tony and Z with some crazy expressions!

Like my shades?
We went to Scotty's for lunch today.
Look at that, Daddy!

10 More Minutes....

Come on Mommy, just 10 more minutes....please???

Oh, fine.  I guess I'll get up, but Snoopy and Woodstock have to get up too!

**Ignore our makeshift crib rail covers....LOL
