We Are Ready For....

...CHRISTMAS!!!

We had breakfast with Papaw and then went to Meijer with the intention of buying a tree for Zuri's room (ended up going to Target later).

We got all decorations up, trees trimmed, and gifts wrapped (minus Zuri's). We are ready!

I have to also mention that Zuri loved Thea's cross body purse and said she wanted one. She had one here at home and she searched and searched today for it. After she found it, she said she was putting her gum and phone in her purse like Thea.  Haha!  She wanted to go shopping afterwards with her purse. 

I'll finish with this picture of my cousin, Kyle, with Zuri. She has never let me take a picture of her with him (at least not one where she smiled).  Today, though, she did!!  She smiled too!!

Thanksgiving

We had a great Thanksgiving and hope everyone else did too. 

Here we are before heading to stop 1 of 3!

Our first stop was Eric's and Karen's. No pictures from there though because Zuri was not in a good mood there. I think she was overwhelmed with all the people in one room right as we walked in. She gets that way sometimes. Julie ended up taking her to her apartment so she could rest. 

We picked her up and went to stop 2. She was in a much better mood (sorry Eric and Karen!). 

Papaw held Zuri and Justice. Justice wasn't looking at the camera so Zuri was trying to help. Papaw was freaking out I think. Hahaha

Zuri wanted to hold Marleigh. Marleigh was happy!

Stop 3 was at Ralph's and Lane's. Zuri and Vance are cute together!

They were doing their style and diva poses. They also did their style walk. It was hilarious!

Zuri told Vance he is her boyfriend. He said no though. Haha

Friday night, Zuri had a sleepover with her cousins.  Thanks, Aunt Amanda for hosting!  Aunt Penny bought Zuri and Claire matching nightgowns. Super cute!

We hosted Thanksgiving on Saturday for the Gills. I didn't get many pictures, but I do love this one!  Penny was trying to photo bomb the girls and Zuri was trying to stop her.

Happy Birthday, Daddy!

Today is Daddy's birthday!  We started the day off with giving Daddy his gifts (a shirt that Zuri picked out for him and a Dolphins shirt he asked for). We then took him and Papaw John to breakfast. Papaw John's birthday is tomorrow. 

After breakfast, we hung out for a bit until we took Zuri to Eric's and Karen's while we went grocery shopping. 

After that, we went home and watched football and napped. :o)

Daddy picked McGilvery's for dinner. Zuri said she could pick even though it's Daddy's birthday, but I wouldn't let her (so now I am mean). She ended up having a good time (they have a toy claw machine and she won a teddy bear). 

We hope you had a good day today, Daddy. We love you!

First Snow

We had our first snow of the season today. The snowflakes were huge and Zuri wanted to try to catch one on her tongue.

We had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Schulz tonight for Daddy's birthday.  After dinner, we went to Starbucks for hot drinks and dessert. 

When we got home, we showed off the baby's nursery. Zuri wanted to show how sturdy the bed is.

I tried getting s good picture of Zuri with Grandma and Grandpa. After about 15 tries, I got this. :o)

Santa

After dance, we took Zuri to the mall for a mall cookie (a/k/a Blondie's). While we were there, Zuri saw the sign for Santa and asked to go see him. We went and were able to get right in!!  Zuri told Santa she wants an American Girl Doll Baby, Monster High Dolls, and Dreamy, the Palace Pet. 

Brent didn't think we were getting pictures with Santa because Zuri was still in her dance outfit. I don't care what Zuri is wearing in the picture - I love seeing her smile. :o)

After visiting with Santa, we went to the bathroom at Von Maur and also bought a dress. Zuri wanted to wear it out of the store. Why not?!  :o)

Holidays and Boots

Zuri loves her new Thanksgiving and Christmas outfits from Macy's. She wore the Thanksgiving outfit yesterday (thanks, Julie!). 

She insisted on wearing the Christmas outfit today because "Christmas is right around the corner." 

After school, Daddy took her boot shopping. She got new black boots and new rain boots. She had to show them off....diva pose and all. 

We are in so much trouble when she gets older. 

Sleepover

Zuri had her cousin, Claire, spend the night last night. They had a blast!  This morning, we went to church and lunch with friends.  The girls enjoyed visiting the new church and lunch with friends. After lunch, we went to aunt Tammy's to work on our Christmas hair (Grinch theme).  The girls had a ton of fun there!  We left Tammy's and took Claire home. The girls played more and we had dinner there. Now, we are home and ready for bed!!

Starbucks

Zuri has become addicted to Starbucks at the age of 4. ;o)

We stopped in for hot chocolate and a cookie this morning.  She told me tonight that she wants a cake pop tomorrow. lol

Letter to Santa

Zuri wrote her very first letter to Santa tonight.  :o)

The letter says:

"Dear Santa

I would like an American Girl Doll Baby.

Zuri"

She had some extra letters in a few places.  So cute to see her write the letter herself. 

Baby Brother

Zuri drew me a picture today. I asked her who she drew. She said,"My baby brother who is in your belly."  She pointed to the face and said that is her brother. All the stuff around him is my belly. :o)

She's going to be a great big sister!
