Happy Birthday Daddy and Papaw

Daddy's birthday was Friday (22nd) and Papaw's was Saturday (23rd). We went to dinner Friday night with Grandma and Grandpa Schulz for Daddy's birthday. Saturday, we met Papaw for lunch then we had our haircuts. Later, we met our friends, Brendan and Jenn for dinner and to check out their new house. It was a late night for Zuri but she had fun!

Zuri and Daddy snuggling.
Papaw!!!
Zuri decided to sit all by herself for her haircut. Such a big girl!
We went to Wolfie's in Noblesville. Check this sign out.
Fun at Brendan's and Jenn's.

#TBT

For those of you that don't know, #TBT is what everyone uses on Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and other social media for Throwback Thursday.  I thought this would be a neat idea for the blog.  So, in honor of Daddy's birthday tomorrow, here's a picture from when Zuri was just 2 weeks old!  It's still one of my favorites.

Coach

I went with Julie to the outlet mall today. We went inside the Coach store and while checking out, I saw something I just had to get Zuri (mostly because it was the only thing in the store that I would be okay with Zuri tearing up or losing).
It's a small wallet.  Zuri opened it tonight and is excited about it!
Now she just needs money to put in it. hint hint!!  ;)

Mornings with Princess Zuri

I'm not sure Daddy realizes what the workday mornings entail with Zuri so I decided to photograph the routine.  :o)

First, I go into the Princess' room to wake her.  Easy??  Nope.
Next, I have to undress her.  We get lotion on and start getting dressed.
We continue to get dressed.  You will notice in the previous collage that there are jeans on the bed and you will notice in this collage that she has black pants on.  Yeah, she has an opinion about her clothes now.
Okay, finally dressed.  Time to brush teeth and pull hair back in a pony tail.
Tired yet?  I sure am.  Next, we have to get shoes on.  After about 5 minutes of talking about which shoes to wear, Zuri we decided on the new tennis shoes Aunt Julie bought.  Yes, the pictures are blurry.  You try taking a picture of the Princess.  She's pretty good at evading the Paparazzi (aka Mommy).
Now we get our coat on.  You might think that is easy, but you're wrong.  Zuri does NOT like this coat and has refused to wear it on several occasions.  Today, it's cold enough that I made her wear it.  We had to get milk and then we could get in the car.  Zuri is a big girl so she insists on getting in her seat all by herself.  Finally, we can head to school.
Daddy should try this one morning before work.  :o)

My Sweet and Caring Girl

I have had a headache now for 10 days. I've had umpteen meds, none of which have helped more than a few hours. Today, I had a MRI which showed a possible aneurysm. The doctor wants a MRA to get a better look at the blood vessels to determine if I do in fact have an aneurysm. Of course, this has taken it's toll on me physically and emotionally. I have been okay during the day the past two days but when Brent and Zuri get home, I break down and cry.  Yesterday, Zuri yelled for daddy and told him mommy was crying and that he needed to give me a big kiss. Tonight, she did the same thing AND she went and grabbed a tissue and wiped my tears away. She said, "Oh my goodness. Dry those tears. There, you're all better."  That made the tears flow even more.

I am thankful for all my family and friends who have offered thoughts, prayers, and help.  The biggest help by far has been my little girl wiping my tears away and telling me it will be ok. When did she get so big?!

Happy Halloween

Most, if not all, of Central Indiana postponed Trick-or-Treating to Friday due to weather.  If you ask me, and no one did, the weather was perfect during the hours we would have been out Trick-or-Treating.  Oh well.

We had plans with Andy, Anne, and Bri for Halloween so we still dressed up (Bri and Zuri did) and went to the Community Life Center for their Fall Fun Fest.  The girls got to Trick-or-Treat down the halls.  There were games and food.  We ran into Uncle Jon, Aunt Amanda, Jack and Claire too.  Here are a few pictures from Trick-or-Treating at the CLC.

Zuri and Claire.  Claire was like, "What in the world?!"  hahaha!
Zuri and Bri.  So cute!

I ended up in the ER last night from a migraine that won't go away and a severe reaction to Imitrex injection.  Zuri was very sweet before I went.  Gave me lots of hugs and kisses.  She played her part of Doc McStuffins very well.  The cuddles helped, if only for a second.  :o)

I think we (well, Daddy because Mommy's still not feeling well) will take Zuri Trick-or-Treating with Jack and Claire tonight.  Pics will follow.
