Little Bumble Bee

I had good intentions this morning.  I had a meeting at 8am this morning so I decided to get up a little earlier in order to get out the door just a few minutes ahead of schedule.  Good intentions....  I walked into Zuri's room and immediately realized she had vomited at some point during the night.  She sat up in her bed and I knew I would be late for the meeting.  I had to get her in the tub to wash her hair and I had to get her bedding, PJs, and stuffed animals into the washer.  I said to her, "Aww, you got sick." to which she replied, "I got sick?"  With no fever and acting as though nothing had happened, I took her on to daycare.  She did fine and I was only about 10 minutes late to my meeting.

When I got home, Zuri was in the mood to play with stickers.  She put them all over my laptop, all over the glass desk, and all over Mommy's and Daddy's foreheads.
I thought this picture looked neat in pencil sketch.  :o)

Then, while I was cleaning out stuff from my office at Bose McKinney (yes, I left there 8 months ago), Daddy thought it would be funny to throw up some of the papers and make some comment about pulling out an expired card from 1996 or something!  Anyway, Zuri thought it was hilarious so she started doing it.  :o)

Mean Mommy

Twice today, Zuri told Daddy that Mommy was not being nice.  The first time was after she got into trouble for purposely spilling her milk.  Daddy came into the kitchen and asked Zuri what she was doing and she said, "Mommy not nice!"  The second time, I didn't even do anything!  Daddy came in from the garage and Zuri ran to him and said, again, "Mommy not nice!".  Seriously?!  That little............well, okay, she's still a little Princess!  :o)

Since I know you all want a picture of the Princess, here you go.

Are you hungry, Minnie?!

A little of this, a little of that....

Friday night, we went to the Henson's house for dinner.  Alana and Zuri watched Mickey Mouse Clubhouse while Rachael cooked dinner.  Lila kept them company too.  :o)

Saturday, we met Uncle Eric, Aunt Karen, Uncle Kenny, Aunt Julie, and Kyle out for lunch.  After lunch, Zuri and I rode with Kenny and Julie to the mall for cupcakes from The Flying Cupcake!  Zuri and Kenny stayed in the car while Julie and I went to get the cupcakes.  Eric and Karen stopped for cupcakes too!

After cupcakes, we went to Sears to look around.  Zuri was lifting weights while I looked at swingsets.  Then we went downstairs and Zuri ended up with 3 shirts, a tutu, a Minnie Mouse doll, and a Mickey Mouse doll.  The dolls were courtesy of Kenny and Julie.  Zuri isn't spoiled or anything.

After shopping, Zuri and I were dropped off at a birthday party for Zuri's cousin, Hayes.  It was a pajama party with a hot chocolate bar.  Zuri had the perfect PJs from Gymboree.  This was the first time that Zuri did not cling to me at an unfamiliar environment.  We got there, changed into her PJs and she was off!  At the end of the party, the kids played peekaboo under the table.  :o)
Here's the birthday boy, Hayes!
Today, we had lunch with Kenny and Julie again and then went shopping.  Tony, Breeanna, and Paige came by to play.  Then, while we were making dinner, Zuri was coloring on her dry erase board...............or so we thought.
We also picked up Zuri's birthday invitations today (Hayes' mom, Shellie, designed them for us!) and those will be mailed this week! I can't believe she will be 2 in less than a month.

Speaking of birthdays, we are celebrating our February birthday at work tomorrow.  Here's the cake I made for the birthday girl.  :o)

Pizzology

Today we met our friends, Brendan and Jenn, for lunch at Pizzology in Carmel.  It was yummy!  Zuri especially liked watching the chef make the pizzas through the glass.

Before lunch, Zuri was being tortured by Mommy and Daddy.  Mommy put a clip in her hair (Zuri hates anything in her hair) and Daddy clipped a balloon to her pants!

Zuri saw the temperature on the news and decided she needed a hat and scarf.
When we were getting ready to leave, she left the scarf and added her sunglasses.  Her future's so bright, she's gotta wear shades........
Here's Zuri with Aunt Jenn.  They were making diamonds.  :o)

Zuri was pooped after lunch and fell asleep on our way home.

Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star

About a week ago, Zuri started singing "Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star".  I finally got it on video!  :o)
