The Many Faces of Zuri

After lunch with the girls on Saturday, Zuri and I stopped by Aunt Junie's.  I don't know why, but none of us took a picture at lunch.  Bad, bad, bad!

Zuri wanted to go out the doggy door just like Rustle and Reggie.  She succeeded.  :)

Aunt Junie gave Zuri a cookie with some chocolate in the middle.  She loved it!  Such a messy marvin.

Okay, so here's why I title the blog "The Many Faces of Zuri."  At dinner tonight, she started making faces.  Enjoy!

Who wants some corn on the cob?

Zuri loves corn, we already know that.  What we didn't know, however, was that she loves corn on the cob!  This video is from yesterday at dinner when Andy joined us.

Cheese!

Zuri said a new word today --- "cheese"!!  That makes about 7 words she says.  Such a smart "coo-kie".  ;o)

I hope you can hear it on this video.  I'm sure you can hear me loud and clear.  LOL

What do these things have in common?

A 4k memorial walk, a monkey, the park, and a birthday party?  If you said "They are all part of a fun-filled weekend." --- well, I suppose technically you'd be right.  HOWEVER, the correct answer is Zuri.  I mean, come on, this is her blog and all.  ;o)

So yesterday was the annual Matt Breman Memorial Walk on the canal.  Brent and I have done this for the past 4 years (this was Zuri's 2nd time).  Matt is the late husband of my friend Rhonda Breman.  Matt was very active with The Villages so all proceeds from the walk go towards that organization.  To learn more, visit www.villageskids.org.  Anyway, the weather wasn't so great when we woke up but we were determined to go to the canal regardless.  We packed up the rain jackets and headed downtown.  Once the walk officially began, the rain let up and it turned out to be a good morning.

This morning, Zuri decided to be a monkey and climb on and over E.V.E.R.Y.T.H.I.N.G.!!

Yeah, I know I'm a little stinker.  I also know I have you and daddy wrapped around my little finger!

After lunch, we met up with Tony, Anthony, Breeanna, Julie, and Kenny at the park.  Zuri loved going down the slide with Breeanna.  After a few times of carrying Zuri back to the slide, I think Bree was over it.  :o)

After the park, we went to a birthday party for Reece and Vance.  Zuri found Blake and Mariella to be quite entertaining at the party.

I do find that quite funny, Mariella.

Happy Easter!

We had a busy and fun filled weekend.  We met Grandma and Grandpa Gill for lunch yesterday.

 After that, we went to the mall.

Zuri wanted a new lawnmower for Easter.

Zuri was thinking, "Ha ha suckas!  I just got you for $2.00 to ride this 3 times!!" [2nd trip was on the other couple whose kids rode.]

The Easter Bunny stopped by our house last night.  He left Zuri lots of goodies.  She loved them!

You mean I actually get to eat candy today?!

Once it warmed up a tad, we let Zuri hunt eggs outside.  She got so excited when she would find them!!

It's hard to get a family picture!

After a nap, it was time to go to Ray and Regina's.  Zuri had fun playing with the toys and she also had fun going up the stairs.  We don't have stairs at home so this was the first time she had ever tried going up stairs.  She was a natural.

After Ray and Regina's, we headed to Ralph and Lane's.  Zuri had fun there too and enjoyed the puffs that were waiting for her.  :)

Oh, and Zuri said a new word today.  We were pretty sure she said "cookie" when we took this video, but throughout the day, we started wondering if she was saying "turkey".  We call her a turkey all the time.  Either way, it's super cute!
