Visit from Justice

Brandii and Justice came by tonight. Zuri was super excited to see Justice!  She held her quite a bit. She even helped feed her. I laughed at one point while I was holding Justice and Zuri told me to hand her over because "you don't laugh at babies!"  Too cute!!

Dinner With Grandparents

We had dinner with Grandma and Grandpa Schulz last night. We went to La Trattoria - yummy!  Zuri was being super silly at dinner. 

After dinner, we went to the mall for a cookie and shopping. She was being silly then too. So was Grandpa. :o)

We went to Sears and Zuri found a dress she wanted. She tried it on and wanted to wear it home. When we got to the register, I couldn't find the tags.  Zuri told me she removed them since she wanted to wear it home. Oh my!  The cashier was cool about it and called to the children's department and described the dress. They called back with the UPC and all was good.

Wordless Wednesday

This and That

Thursday morning, Zuri came into the room around 6:10. She would typically ask me to turn on a show. She didn't do that and then I heard a little snoring. She fell back asleep and then wouldn't wake up!  She was out like a light. :o)

We went to the mall Thursday night and got Zuri a couple new shirts. She just had to try them on.....by herself. When I told her we were done and we headed to checkout, we passed the little girls' bras. She told us she needed one. Oh my goodness. 

That night, she slept with her stuffed cat. This was too cute not to take a picture!

Zuri spent most of Saturday with daddy because I wasn't feeling so great. They had a fun filled day. They visited Aunt Julie, went swimming next door, and went to Plainfield to 5 Below. For dinner, Zuri had chicken nuggets and a frosty from Wendy's. She was dipping her nuggets in the frosty. :o)

After breakfast with Papaw and Aunt Julie, Zuri and I hung out inside while daddy mowed. Zuri put on a concert for me. She was a rock star!  

I still wasn't feeling great so Zuri went to the store with daddy.  After they got back, she and I had a little nap. :o)

Pancakes, Pool, Movies, and More!!

We started the weekend off with pancakes, sausage, and scrambled eggs. Zuri wanted special pancakes. I made Mickey Mouse, our cat, and a Z. Here's Zuri with the Z pancake. It's not that great, but she didn't care!  I'm not showing you how the cat turned out. Haha!

We also made Bree a birthday card. Zuri wrote this all herself. I'm so proud of her!

Zuri spent the night with Bree Saturday. They went to the Franklin pool and had a blast!

Today, we picked Zuri up and had a fun filled day. We went to the pet store, took a nap at home. Then we went to Wendy's for lunch. While we were there, Zuri told us the 5 rules that the pool had. 

Next, we went to see Minions. Zuri said she didn't understand it because they spoke Spanish. She preferred the game room. :o)

Zuri and daddy continued playing games once we got home. 

Zuri had a cherry drink and it turned her tongue very red!!  She thought it was great. 

Since the sun was out, we went swimming next door. Have I mentioned how awesome our neighbors are to let us use their pool almost anytime we want?!

4th of July at Big Lake

We went to visit the Seligs yesterday and today with Eric, Karen, and Trev.  We started at Dave's and Susie's lake house on Big Lake. There, we had lunch, boated, and tubed.  We all had a great time. Zuri even went tubing!!!  We spent the night with Joanna, Dave, Bryant, and Olivia.  Today, we all went back for more lake time before heading home around 4:30pm.

Japanese

I had no idea until today that Zuri can count to 10 in Japanese. We were heading to the lake (separate post on that later) when Karen asked her to count to 10 in Spanish. Zuri then asked if any of us (Mommy, Daddy, Karen, or Joanna) knew how to count in Japanese. We all said no and she counted!!  I had her do it tonight after dinner so I could get it on video. As far as I can tell, she's correct. Such a smarty pants!
