Zuri decided to read the paper today.  She really enjoys looking at the ads too.

We went to the Henson's new house today to check it out.  Zuri enjoyed playing with the girls' stuff while they weren't there. 

Lila and Alana won't mind if we take this.

Are you wondering about the blog title?  2 things:

1 --- We are one week out from taking Zuri off formula and she is doing very well.  She has taken to the sippy cup and is drinking pretty close to the amount of milk she should be.  She seems to prefer water though.  She is going to bed without milk now.  I thought that would be our biggest battle, but she really does okay without it.  She only drank 2oz. on the second night and then on the third night, she didn't want any of it.  We haven't offered her milk since then and she is fine!

2 --- In 1 short week, we will have Zuri's 1st birthday party!!  I can't believe it is already here.  This can't be right, can it?

Just say no........to formula

We went to our 2nd cousin's birthday party Saturday.  He turned 2.  Zuri had fun playing with the balloons!  Here's a picture of her and daddy after daddy was getting her with the balloons.  I think Zuri's expression is saying "Mommy, really, can't you do something about him?"  ;o)

My cousin, Andy, was in town this weekend from Fort Hood.  He had not seen Zuri since she was a week old.  He still didn't want to hold her because "she is still too fragile."  I told him she is 25+ pounds and 31 inches tall; she is NOT fragile!

A few of us got together for dinner with Andy.  Here's Zuri with my cousin Adam.  He read to her while we were at Jockamo.  It was cute.  :)

Today, daddy decided to put Zuri in a pretty dress.  Isn't it pretty?

Well, we went to McAllister's for lunch.  Zuri had mac-n-cheese.  She's a messy marvin for sure.  Everyone at McAllister's was laughing.  She's been making that face in the bottom picture all weekend.  I love it!!

We had to give Zuri a bath and change her when we got home.  She decided to look through daddy's wallet.  I think she took everything out of there to look at it.  LOL

We decided to wean Zuri off formula this weekend.  We started by cutting out the noon bottle Friday.  Saturday, we cut out the 3pm bottle.  Today......we cut out ALL of them!!!  She still doesn't quite have the hang of the sippy cups, but she is getting there.  She did really well today without having any formula.  She just didn't drink that much.  I'm sure in a few days, she'll be drinking milk like crazy!!

Wizards of Waverly Place

Zuri loves the theme song to Wizards of Waverly Place.  She stops in her tracks when it comes on and stares.  Sometimes she dances too.  :)

Zuri's 1st Valentine's Day!!

I took today off so Zuri and I decided to meet Jodie and Lucas for lunch.



When we got home, daddy surprised me with roses and Zuri with a balloon.  She LOVES the balloon.  I'm having issues uploading the video.  I'll try tomorrow!  :)

1st Haircut

I won't say much about Zuri's 1st haircut except hat I did not want it to happen and I am glad it happened.  :)  Her hair was in her eyes constantly.  It was ridiculous.  Zuri did really well.  Here are some pictures.  She's no long our little baby, that's for sure.  :(

11 months

First, a quick catch up from the last post.  Saturday night, Brent and I went downtown so my dad and Andrea watched Zuri.  While we were out, I got this picture sent to me.

Yesterday, I decided to give Zuri a pedicure.  Aren't her little piggies so stinkin' cute?!

Okay, back to the title of the post.  Today, Zuri is 11 months old.  I can't believe it.  It doesn't seem real.  She is getting so big!!  I love her more than words can say.  Here she is this morning in her PJs and in her monthly sticker.

Don't get used to these fancy pictures.  I figured I'd take advantage of Picnik closing and use some of the premium content.  :)
