While Daddy's Away, The Women Will Play
Daddy has been in Pittsburgh so it's been me and Zuri all weekend. Papaw picked Zuri up from school Friday and hung out with her until I got out of class. They went to Wendy's and to Target where she got new Elsa and Anna dolls. Of course, she isn't spoiled or anything.
Saturday, we had our haircuts and then Zuri spent most of the day with Eric, Karen, and Trevor while I attended the Porcelain Art School of Indiana annual luncheon. After the luncheon and some shopping, I picked Zuri up and we went to dinner with Julie and Kenny and then stopped to see Junie and then home and to bed!

Zuri wanted to sit at her desk and do homework at Junie's house. She felt she needed glasses on to do this. :o)
She loved Great-Grandpa Woodall's banjo. She played it a little too. ;o)
Today, Papaw brought us donuts and then we went to AppleWorks with Julie. Zuri fell in the mud so we left early and went to Kohls to get new pants and shoes. She made out with some cute Elsa leggings and cute black boots!! The stuffed Simba is from Julie. :o)

After a nap, we went to Tony's for dinner and for pumpkin carving. Zuri didn't want to dig the insides of the pumpkin out so Bree and/or Joanne did it!

Daddy will be home tomorrow and we can't wait to see him. We have missed him!

Zoo Boo!!
Since I am on fall break this week and will miss trick-or-treat with Zuri (Halloween is on Friday and I have class), I took off at noon to take Zuri to Zoo Boo! We got home, ate lunch, and got ready. Before picking daddy up, we visited Zuri's old daycare.

After a brief visit, we picked daddy up and went to the Zoo!! Zuri fell asleep on the way so when we got there, she wasn't in the mood for a picture. We managed to get a halfway decent one!
We went on the carousel and then the train. While passing the giraffes, Zuri told us she wants a pet giraffe. :o)
After the train, we went to the Plains area where the trick-or-treat stations were located.

Disney Vacation
As most of you know, last week, we went to Disney World! It was a fun and exhausting week. Now, here's the recap. It's a long one!!
Zuri did great with her first plane ride. The flight attendant suggested Zuri look in the cockpit and also get a picture up there!
Before going to Disney, we went to Palm Coast where we met up with Ben, Beth, and Zoe for dinner and a walk along Flagler Beach. The tide was rough so we didn't swim, but Zuri had fun nonetheless! Monday, we drove to Disney. Here are a few pics from the hotel.
That evening, we went to Downtown Disney for a little bit and did some shopping. Zuri got her picture with Cinderella and Aurora statues while we were there. :o)
When we returned to our hotel, Zuri had a surprise waiting for her. It was a gift from the princesses!
Tuesday, we spent the day at Epcot. It rained most of the time we were there, but we still had fun!
The first character we met was Pluto. Zuri didn't want to get right next to him, but she was excited to see him.
Zuri really enjoyed our private Meet and Greet with Minnie Mouse and Pluto as well as the Character Spot with Mickey, Goofy, and Minnie again. Notice Pluto has Zuri's stuffed Pluto in his mouth!
She also really enjoyed all the stuff to do inside the Innoventions buildings. She learned about fire safety and severe weather. There was a lot for her to do indoors so we could stay dry. :o)
Wednesday, we spent the day at Magic Kingdom. It was rainy when we first go there, but dried out shortly. Zuri enjoyed the Carousel and the Mad Hatter Tea Cup ride. Thanks to Aunt Jenn and Uncle Brendan, Zuri received a princess makeover at the Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique! We tried getting her to take a nap beforehand, but that didn't happen so she fell asleep during her makeover. I had to actually hold her head while they finished her hair and makeup! We had dinner reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table not long after the makeover so I sat inside with Zuri until dinner. She was excited to see Cinderella again (she saw her in the morning too) and other princesses. The other princesses came to each and every table during dinner. It was really a neat experience.
It's exhausting being a princess...
After dinner, we had a photo shoot as part of the princess makeover. :o)
Thursday, we spent the day at Hollywood Studios. It didn't rain, but it was really hot!! We met more characters and watched a Disney Junior puppet show!
We left early Friday. Zuri was being cool on the bus and then when we got back home and Papaw picked us up, she insisted on pulling her own luggage. :o)
We have spent the weekend unpacking and getting ready for the work/school week. I am glad we were able to take Zuri to Disney and that she was able to meet so many characters and princesses, but I am exhausted!! Our next vacation will be just to the beach. :o) If Zuri asks to go to Disney again, we will take her if we are able, but we won't volunteer it!! LOL
