Weekend Recap

While I was getting ready Saturday morning, Zuri dressed up as a doctor. She helped daddy clean and bandage a few wounds on my back. She will be a great doctor!  :)

Zuri joined me and Aunt Julie at the nail salon for pedis. Zuri wasn't too sure about it all so she just sat on Julie's lap. 

After the nail salon, we went to the mall. Zuri tried on this dress and never took it off!  Julie spoiled her on Saturday. 

After a nap, we went to visit Uncle Eric, Aunt Karen, and Trevor. We suckered them into getting up early today for breakfast!

After breakfast today (papaw showed up too), we hung out at home with everyone and Zuri showed off her sweet dance moves. Aunt Junie came by too and then Zuri went to her house to see the puppies. After I picked her up from Junie's, we came home and napped. When we got up, Daddy and Ralph were still playing around with the electrical work in the family room so we went to the mall and to dinner. We had a nice mommy/daughter night. :)

Be Careful On The Playground

My uncle Gary went into the hospital Thursday evening with an infected big toe. I stopped by there after work Friday to see him and asked Zuri if she wanted to talk to him.  When I called her, she kept asking where I was and why. I told her I was visiting uncle Gary because he hurt his toe. When I gave the phone to Gary, I heard him laugh a little and say, "No, I didn't hurt it at the playground."  :o)

That night, Zuri made him a card and inside she wrote, "Be careful on the playground!"  We met up with Tony and the kids for lunch Saturday and then visited Gary.  Grandma Newbold was there too and Zuri put her in timeout. LOL

Uncle Gary will hopefully be home tomorrow and back to work in a month!

Happy Mother's Day

For Mother's Day, we had a pretty relaxing day. We went to breakfast. Did our grocery shopping. Put Frozen wall decals on Zuri's walls. Ate lunch. Took a 2hr nap!  Then Brent's mom and stepdad showed up so we hung out with them for a bit. Zuri was excited to show grandma her Frozen stickers!  Then, we went to Kabutos for dinner. Zuri wanted to use chopsticks and was good with them (kid friendly ones). She also tried one of daddy's sushi rolls and on our way home, asked if we could go back for sushi rolls. :o) Overall, I'd say I had a great Mother's Day!  I hope all the moms out there did too. 

Clean Teeth!

Zuri had her first teeth cleaning today. She was AWESOME!!!  I was so very proud of her!

Alabama and Prom!

Zuri's cousins, Eli and Emersyn, came up from Alabama this weekend. Zuri was excited to hang out with them!
